Experience with buying gym equipment?
Has anyone purchased gym equipment from sport-tiedje web site? Any feedback to give? I am interested in buying a concept 2 rower, and noticed that they were offering a price slightly cheaper than the concept site. Don't know how that works but it got me interested. I just don't know enough about them though.

Making your own tinted moisturiser
Does anyone do this? My friend has suggested this, mixing foundation with moisturiser for when you want a lighter make up and then using foundation as normal otherwise and it saves money.

contact lens solution
I went to buy some contact lens all in one solution at Tesco's today, and was shocked to find that it cost £5.17!!! Last time I got it on a BOGOF offer for about £2 each, if I remember right, and got quite a few. Checked Sainsbury, Boots etc, and they are all very expensive (and makes me wonder what the mark-up must…

Free dental treatment question
I've asked this of my dental surgery and they "don't know" so I thought I'd ask here. In November I had a private root canal under a microscope for 2+ hours and it's been great. I've since fallen pregnant and can't afford a white crown. Assuming I haven't signed a commitment to say I will take the private crown, can I now…

126,000 calories
According to a funky machine I used today, I weigh 87kg and of that 16.4kg is fat. So, assuming there is about 3500 calories per pound of fat, and 16.4kg is 36lb then does that mean that I need to burn 126,000 calories to get rid of all the excess weight. I know it's far more complex, but at the very basics of basics is…

Fascinator - do you wear it on your parting line, or other side?
I am undecided what side of my hair to wear my fascinator for a wedding I am going to. It looks ok both sides, but not sure if there is a done side that it should be worn. Does anyone know if there is an etiquette for the side of the parting, or the main side of hair? Many thanks

My tights are squeaking as I walk in my shoes
I wonder if you can help. I am not a natural dress wearer, but I am getting ready for a wedding in a few days time and have tried on my outfit. I can just about bear wearing a dress, but my tights are making a large deep squeak. I think it is as my foot moves slightly inside the shoe. Any ideas how to stop announcing my…

Calorie counting and homemade food!
I've been using a mobile app for calorie counting, there is a very wide range of foods on there, all major brands and supermarket own. Thing is I cook from scratch a lot, and you can 'save' things on it which would be handy for meals we have regularly but I don't know how to work out calories per portion. Does anyone know…

A decent, affordable wig?
Hello All, I have been loosing my hair for a few years now and it is now at the point where I have to cover up in public. The loss is quiet dramatic. Winter I can handle wearing beanies but now that spring/summer is coming I find wearing a beanie is not only not practical but weird. Also I need to get a job. My GP was not…

Are there any other nice sugar free jelly's?
As I am dieting I buy and eat quite a lot of hartleys sugar free raspberry, strawb, orange jelly's but I was just wondering are there any other flavours or different manufacturers of sugar free jelly's out there, to make from crystals not ready-made? Do any supermarkets do their own? Thanks In advance!

Budget Double Mattress?
My wife and I have been suffering from our current mattresses. Initially we had a queen size memory foam ergoflex mattress. Never really supported my back and ended up paining my back/shoulders and we majorly over heated even when the room itself was cold. Currently we have a double old spring mattress. It's old, non…

Dinglefoot's Walking Home From Work Diary
Hi, I thought I might start a walking to work diary on here. On a working day I normally get the bus to either my parent's house (£1.20) or home (£3.70). So at the moment I'm probably spending around £400 a year on travelling home from work. We're trying to save money to get married, but it's so difficult when you only…
