With regard to flight delays with Monarch Airlines.Itrvelled on flight zb564 from Manchester to Tenerife on 12/09/12 and was subjected to a 15 houg flight delay.Monarch have rejected my claim as it was not an extraordinary event.I have sinced passed my claim to the CAA.Am awaiting their response Peter

We have tried to make a claim against Thomas cook for a 6 hour flight delay from Kefalonia to London Gatwick in May last year, seems the airline are using 'Exceptional circumstances' but with no explanation as to what this entails, as their tactic from having to pay any compensation, I'm not giving up yet !
