Economy Energy Gone Bust... What about my bill?
My previous energy supplier Economy Energy have seized trading, you can see the message on their website (can't post links) They failed to send me a reminder notice about my fixed contract rates coming to an end and in a telephone call I had with them back in December, they agreed that my final month with them (as I moved…

Eversmart blocking me from switching away
I joined Eversmart 18 months ago, on a 12 month fixed tariff. All went fine, no problems other than their billing/website being a bit flakey. I've been paying by monthly dd all along. Now the 12 month fix is obviously well past, and about 6 weeks ago initiated a switch to another supplier (Utility Point). All seemed to be…

British Gas Homecare renewal
Hello, I currently have British Gas Homecare which is nearing its renewal date. However, I've just got the renewal letter and there is a large price increase for next year. This is too costly for me and I am thinking of not renewing British Gas Homecare and going with another company. Question 1. How do I go about…

Extra Energy administrators demanding back-billing payment
Hi.. I’m looking for some advice with regards the administrators of Extra Energy demanding payment of what I consider to be a back-billing error. I was an Extra Energy customer from Mar 2016 until Nov 2017. We received a final bill on 12 Dec 2017 showing an outstanding credit balance which was repaid two weeks later in Dec…

Sneaky Scottish Power
Was just looking at renewing my Scottish Power tariff to Super Saver April 2020 using Cheap Energy Club. I really want to avoid having a smart meter fitted. I had to go hunting for all the terms and conditions, but I found this in the small print: Now, does this mean that I am agreeing to have a smart meter fitted? Being…

Utilita gas meter readings.
Hi everyone. Basically, this is my first experience in a household with my partner where I have to sort out the bills myself after 7 year accomodation sharing with strangers. I moved to a 1bedroom 3rd floor flat on Wednesday. During whole Thursday I kept my boiler setting on low (mark 2) and water mark on low as well (mark…

Supply ? What supply
''Electricity suppliers'' supply nothing. Your kettle boils, the vacuum sucks and your night becomes day at the flick of a switch because of the movement of a charged stream, this moving stream (Electrons in this instance) induces an equal charge within an appliance due to it's incorporation within a closed, ringed…

20%+
Hi all, So it's time to renew my fixed energy tariff and I see that with my current supplier the new price per month is over 20% more than the current monthly tariff. My account is in credit after the latest Bill (today) so I am not using more energy. I know they put prices up but not by 20% surely, what is going on here?…

I can't believe this....
A plumber has been here all afternoon servicing my boiler. I have just noticed he has his car plugged into an extension lead into my utility room. He never asked if he could. How much does it cost to charge a car? Anybody know? He will be charging me in excess of £100 for the service.

Is Lumo any good?
I can’t find any review thread about Lumo app only. Anyone know what they’re like? And when they give you the smart meter installation discount? I can’t see anything on their website. Thanks
