Switching company
Hi,
Just need some advice, Im with OVO and my contract ends on the 14th of this month, I did a switch end of last week and OVO have objected it!! The balance is way under £500, as I looked it up and says they can only object if i have a debt outstanding more than £500, which i havent.
Does anyone know where I can go from here? surely as my contract is ending and I have told them im switching, they cannot hold me to ransom!!
Thanks for any advice given.

I believe that £500 provision is only if you have a pre-payment meter and are paying back arrears; see:

Assuming you have a 'normal' credit meter, is your debit balance based on actual up to date meter readings? You cannot transfer your debt to a new supplier.0
