Another Collective Switch Misses the Target?
I have just received details of The Daily Telegraph/Energy Helpline’s latest collective switch. Sadly, it misses the target by a margin. A simple comparison between the collective switch (£751) and Tonik v10 shows a cost difference of £62 per year. There are of course other suppliers that are cheaper than Tonik.

Dimplex Quantum storage rads
Posted this elsewhere: Hoping to replace my old outdated storage heaters(3) in a large house. The reviews have been mixed and having just visited a friend who has just had them installed, I am not that impressed and he seems to think that they are not that efficient. Anyone got any thoughts on these storage heaters? Are…

Another Spark Energy Complaint
I've recently moved to a new property where the letting agency was YourMove. YourMove have a deal with "spark energy" where, by default, "spark energy" takes control of the utilities. More interestingly, they stick in the tenancy agreement that you must remain with them, which I know not to be enforceable anyway. So within…

If anyone could help I would really appreciate it. I used 1500KWH of electric May 2016-May 2017 The reading that EDF took in February and my reading taken yesterday were classed as too high and so they have refused to take them. Instead they have guessed at a number. (why? no idea) However the reading I took yesterday is…

Moving house
We are moving house on Friday so need to give final meeting readings to Scottish Power. However, on their online form, they ask for the new address and how we would like to pay for future bills. The new house is currently on a pre-payment meter (possibly a smart meter) with Utilita. Will Scottish Power just transfer across…

Getting rid of a "Complex Meter"
I have a Heatwise with Economy 7 set up, this is a "complex meter" which seems to mean that the energy companies don't have a clue how it works and I'm trapped with over priced tariffs and a very poor excuse for customer service. What it actually gives me is "normal" economy 7 for my general electricity, so lighting…
