British Gas Electric Meter
Hello Does anyone know what time a British Gas electric meter goes off on a Sunday? I have just realised I have 15p left of emergency and I'm not sure where would be open now on a Sunday night for electric. I wasn't aware it was on emergency until my partner said!

Gas Meter Placement
Hi All I was looking for some advice. My energy company recently moved the placement of my Gas Meter. This was originally internally fitted (found in my kitchen) but has now been installed external (next to my front door). Due to it's close proximity and this being my only external door. I am wondering if this is allowed…

£577 electric bill please help
Hi, I was with GB Energy and paying £65 per month direct debit. I didn't really pay much attention to how much we were actually using but then heard about GB Energy going bust. I noticed my direct debit changed to Co-operative energy but this all happened around the same time that I had my first baby so it was bottom of my…

Storm Power cuts - faulty electric hob
Hey, I had quite a few power cuts on Thursday, some for seconds, 1/2 hour and over two hours when western power had to repair a power line that a tree had fallen on, they did the usual turn on and off test before power was back. My electric job has now started to not work correctly, not heating correctly, and not turning…

Credit mode on electric meter
Can anyone tell what is this about. I'm currently on prepay meters for electric and gas but tonight I have been changed from Pre-Payment Mode to Credit Mode (not emergency credit or friendly credit) for electric only and I have an Est. Bill of 47p and it keeps on increasing. What does Credit Mode mean?

Moving from separate gas/electricity suppliers to dual-fuel vs exit penalties
My current fixes are with Zog for gas (ending 5 March 2017) and First Utility for electricty (ending 31 May 2017). The cheapest deal for me at the moment is a dual fuel fix with Scottish Power but I would have to pay a £30 exit charge with First Utility up until 12 Apr 2017. Is it better to switch now and pay the £30 exit…

We’d love to keep you If there’s anything we can do to change your mind or win you back please let us know". As I am switching well within the…

Gas supply objection.
Hello, We moved into our new home mid December and arranged a switch from EDF to CO-OP which would take 6-7 weeks. We were placed onto a deemed contract with EDF for our gas and electric. The electric switched over fine on the 24th January. We provided gas and electricity readings 5 days prior to switching as requested. We…

Advice: Switching smart meter from pre payment to credit
Hi Forum, We've just moved into a rented flat with a smart meter set up as pre paid. There is no gas supply to the property so everything is electric. In the first 24 hours we'd used £15 of electricity, despite not having much on and since then we've used almost £200 in a month. The company being used is Utlilita. We'd…

Iresa savings account? Interest query
Hi all, I understand Iresa pay interest on in credit balances? I think I saw it was something like 2% which to me doesn't seem bad as I didn't think any other suppliers, at least not the ones I've been with, do that? I know it's not technically a savings account but if that is the rate it's not massively different to…

No To Direct Debit
I am a newbie asking about switching for the first time, so please treat me gently and try not to be unkind. I am with Scottish Power on a standard online tariff. New boiler needing new rads?
A reliable plumber has told me due to new laws if I have a new boiler fitted I have to change all my radiators to thermostatic ones as they don't have thermostatic controls. My husband has rang around the council etc...and they have said this is not true. Who is right?
