Endotherm
Considering buying Endotherm to put in the central heating system to save on gas bills as they are astronomical at the moment but I can't find much about it or many 'real world' reviews. Just wondered if anyone had used it? It's an additive that is supposed to heat up your radiators faster and keep them hot for longer. My…

Moved from Scottish power to Ovo Energy
In October we moved from pre-paid electric from Scottish power and pre-paid gas with British Gas to having both utilities pre-paid with OVO Energy who estimated they could save us £850 per year, on transfer they installed smart meters to both supplies. We had been on supply with Scottish power for 10 years and as we…

New collective - worth a punt?
I assume I'm allowed to ask about this lot? https://thisismoneyswitch.co.uk/ ("powered by energyhelpline" whoever they are). With only 553 registered members at time of posting I guess expectations aren't high. Winners announce date is 14th Feb which is convenient for those whose existing fixes end this Spring.

EDF denying credit on my bill
EDF sent me a statement showing a £17.86 credit when my prepayment meter was changed for a credit meter. Six weeks later they sent a final account after I switched, but it didn't show the credit. I phoned them and they said the statement was "only for information" and that their accounting system showed no balance on the…

Scrap 12 Year Old Leaky Boiler or Replace?
Hi I've got a 12 year old Ferroli Maxima 35C boiler that sprung a few minor leaks at the bottom of the unit; it started to lose water pressure as a result. It also has minor corrosion on the casing. I got an engineer out and he initially suggested stemming one of the leaks with some sort of tape, and dealing with the other…

My online electricity account was updated the same day and have been able to transfer to a more competitive tarriff. However, I am still waiting for the same to happen for my gas. Basically, I have not had a gas…

Unexpectently have had to change from oil to gas recently. I am on a variable tariff with Eon, my fixed term tariff for electricity is fixed til August 2017. E.ON "Your energy forecast" tool problem
The E.ON "Your energy forecast" tool (under the Direct Debit) is forecasting a £25 energy spend for us in FEB17 but should be at least £125. Is this tool known to be unreliable? I'm not quite sure why it doesn't use the usage from FEB16 which was recorded correctly in the bill issued APR16. The result is it suggests a…

Iresa ltd Using The Wrong Multipler To Bill Gas
This has probably been mentioned elsewhere, but Iresa are using a multiplier of 11.4718 to convert Gas metric units to Gas kWh. Which I believe to be incorrect. Have they done this to everyone and would this be the case since they set up or is it a recent mistake. Any info anyone?
