Query about Gas/Leccy Bill
Hi, My brother lives in a 3 bedroom house which recently has had new wall and loft insulation. He told me today that he is paying £89 per month for his Gas and £20 per week for his Electricity??! Our bills are nowhere even that high! Is that the norm for a 3 bedroom house or is he just an energy junkie ? :D

Removal of Scottish Power Pre Pay Meter
My previous tenants recently moved following the expiry of the tenancy agreement. On further inspection of the property in readiness for the new tenants I noticed that Scottish Power have installed Pre Pay Meters for both Gas and Electricity supplies. This was completed without notifying me, as the landlord. Is this not…

Npower - billing error
Afternoon all, I appreciate this is a bit long winded but I wondered if anyone had experienced something similar to the below and what, if anything, they were able to do. My girlfriend and I moved out of a flat over a year ago (May 2012) and supplied a final meter reading to Npower at the time of moving out. We received a…

Befuddled by EDF
Moved into a flat at beginning of August, phoned EDF that week to set up a new account and give meter readings, but quite confused as to everything that's happened since. 1. The paperwork that arrived a week after I called said "welcome, give us a call to set up an account", which I had done. I called EDF back and they…

Comparing suppliers-no previous info
We'll hopefully be picking up the keys to our first home on friday and as me and my partner both live with our parents we haven't had to deal with energy suppliers as yet. I work for British gas so at the minute i'm probably gonna end up going with them but want to try and get a comparison with other companies but to…

Two weeks pass and i get a standard letter saying you have a prepayment meter for gas so we have now canceled the switch for both utilities. If they rang to talk about the issue they would soon realize i do not have any…

Electramate 2000 electricity charges
I live in a 5th (of 7) floor 2 bed apartment in a modern block in Portishead. My bills are working out at £3000 pa and they should be about £1000 pa. I am on economy 10. And that is what a neighbour in an identical apartment is paying. £1000 pa is what I was paying a year ago living in a 4 bed detached house without the…

Paying off final bill between 2
Hi, just after some advice about paying a final Electric bill from a property I moved out of. There's 2 names on the bill (mine and last flatmate), and basically I've been footing the bill myself paying it back £50 a month so far and the final bill was for £260 (great of British gas to have an accurate DD). So far I've…
