Electramate 2000 electricity charges

I live in a 5th (of 7) floor 2 bed apartment in a modern block in Portishead. My bills are working out at £3000 pa and they should be about £1000 pa. I am on economy 10. And that is what a neighbour in an identical apartment is paying. £1000 pa is what I was paying a year ago living in a 4 bed detached house without the benefit of off peak supply. Has anyone any thoughts?

    - I live 267 miles away, your neighbour in an identical apartment lives next door
    - ask you neighbour how they spend 60% less than you, that's an objective and quick fact finding solution
    - the first and almost certainly the most important difference between your neighbour and yourself will be usage patterns
    - secondly your Electramate should be set up [PCB dipswitch] to match your tariff [E7 or E10] often its not, an E7 use of an E10 setup is expensive

You need to know how many of the kW per annum you use are expensive core units and how many are cheap non-core units, and exactly what supplier tariff you are on. Your neighbour for example may be using 60% non-core 40% core units and your usage may be 30% non-core 70% core for example - that would explain your cost compared to your neighbour.

    - this thread here might help
