E-on threatning court action for just £21.75.
I'm a new customer with E-on, have been using their services for about 2 months or so. I owed £21.75 to them, and told them that I will pay it in installments when I get the right letter to do it at the paypoint. Got the letter with a warning saying that if I don't pay up they'll take court action. I phoned up saying that…

EDF Vs Scottish Power
Hi, I am currently with EDF on their Online s@ver v7 for both gas and electricity. Since January 2011 I have been paying £31.00 per month. I have just had my latest g&e bills through and after those being debited from my account balance I now have £3.00 remaining. OK that would seem that I am just about paying enough but I…

£120 warm home discount
BBC News website is running a piece on £120 energy discounts, being registered disabled and on a low income I'm wondering if I qualify for this, if so how do I go about applying? Looking at it, it seems you have to be quick of the mark as some energy suppliers are limiting the number of discounts given.

Help please - quickly!
Good Evening All! Just a quickie, am due to be going away for a week tomorrow and I don't know if I should leave my heating on for an hour a day on low or just switch it off - have never gone away in October before! I live in a mid-terrace in North Scotland and, having looked at the 5-day forecast, it doesn't look like…

Well done EDF
Just had a letter from EDF saying my dual fuel will not be increasing. I'm on On-Line v9 (I think). Was already competitive so I'm quite pleased, on balance. In the North West at least, EDF take some beating.

Scottish power removing customers from online energy tariffs due to computer error
I received a letter from Scottish power who said they had removed me from their online tariff because I had not provided an email address. This was incorrect and I have been receiving email from them. The letter said I could log on and select a new (presumably more expensive) tariff and gave no contact number to call. I…

Eon Central Heating cover
Couldn't see a designated forum so posted here. Had the cover for years, and previously with BG. I'm stuck with no central heating and no hot water until Tuesday afternoon, as that is the earliest appointment window. 3 kids will be having cold showers, not good enough.

Have British Gas Gone Mad?
Today I received a letter from British Gas telling me I was almost £420 in credit. A figure I knew and was happy about. However British Gas have also informed me that because of this credit, they have refunded £370 to my bank account. This the leaves me with just under £50 in credit, and as a consequence, they are…

Oil Radiators (one room) vs Central Heating (whole house)
We live in a big 4 bedroom victorian terrace. I have my office in a large 12x12 room. I would of thought it would be more expensive to heat the whole house during the day then buy a 2 or 3kw oil filled radiator just for the office. What do you think? Also, how much does electricity cost per unit nowadays? I understand a…

HELP! Must I change my meter?
I've recently had solar panels fitted and, since I have an old style spinning electricity meter, it reverses and counts down when the panels are generating more than I am using. This is good news for me, the consumer, as it effectively allows me at other times to use the surplus electricity that my system has generated…

Which.co.uk - help Which tackle energy tariffs campaign
Support Which in its crusade to Ofgem "Energy tariffs are confusing and unfair. They're so complicated that customers can't work out if they're paying the right amount for their energy, and tiered rates mean that those who use less energy are actually paying more per unit. By forcing energy companies to introduce a new…

I use the excellent "Meters" app on my iPhone, and immediately entered in the new tariff…
