Getting Connected To Gas Supply
Looking at a purchasing a house that has oil heating but want to change to gas in the future. I have been searching the internet but have been getting very frustrated as cant find a simple answer about if there is a supply where the house is located (on the outskirts of a village with a gas supply) and how much it would cost
Does any body have any links to help

It'll vary from a few hundred if there is gas in the street outside to many thousands if not.

I've just done this myself. It ended up costing just over £3,000 to connect to a main about 60m away from the house.
They had to dig a few holes in my garden, and moled the pipe in between, and then spent the next few days digging up the road.
If you are less than 23m away the cost would have been about £600.
The find your nearest main go for a walk and look at the main hole covers, or you get a quote from the company which do the pipes in your area and they will work out where the main is.
It takes a few months to arrange. I applied back in May, and the work was carried out mid September.0 -
Where are you?Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
