Gas and electricity suppliers frontloading price hikes
I didn't know about this till seeing a recent Watchdog. Think your power is just going up by 11% or so? Think again. In the case of Scottish Power for example the consumer is being hit by a 30% rise for the first units. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/watchdog/2011/09/energy_costs_update.html

British Gas DD increased from £84 to £128
Now I know prices have gone up, but come on! This is a 52% increase. For information, this is a combined gas and electric bill. We've only been with them since June, and I find it incredibly strange that they should "underestimate" our original bill by such a huge amount, given that we had advised them of our previous…

By how much are you in credit?
My last bill showed us £50 in credit for duel fuel. This was 5 September. Been with Scottish Power 11 months. May need to put the direct debit up as its definitely not enough to cover for winter. My next review is 1 Feb.

Keep getting wrong bill!!!!!!!
Ok, moved into one of two new builds about 3 years ago and since then I have had continual problems with British Gas. Firstly they insisted my house didn't exist (turned out that they had it recorded as a plot number, not the house number - took loads of phonecalls, but was eventually sorted out...Or so I thought..
