Evening one and all,
As the title suggests, I need your help.
Yesterday, I moved into my new home, and am starting from scratch. I have looked at Moneysupermarket, answered the questions, and it assumes I am switching, but I have nothing to switch from, this will be a brand new account(s), does anybody know where I can find a comparison site that allows for a new start? Or at least show me where I have gone wrong?
Thanking you.

You are already in a deemed account with the existing suppliers from yesterday. You need to take opening readings, register with them for an account, only then can you switch, if desired, which will take 4-5 weeks.
It doesn't matter which current supplier you use on the comp sites, enter any one you wish, the point is to get the comparative prices, using an estimated annual kWh consumption figure. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
In addition to what macman has written, some of the comparison sites have a "don't know" option when you are asked to input the annual consumption / costs of your current tariff. If you select that, then you will be asked to input some basic details about the house etc, and annual consumption is estimated for you. It's a basic start for comparison purposes.0
