Scottish Power - requested switch April 11 did not happen
In line with this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3098312 which relates how people on Online Energy Saver 9 were switching to online energy saver 13, I too rang up and did the same around April 2011. In light of the latest price rises I reviewed my bill to discover I was still on the revised (& more…

Does Martin Lewis know ...?
That Southern Electric are making 'courtesy' calls door to door & that part of the repertoire includes citing Martin Lewis as they try to generate householders' interest in switching to their supply? Just had one of their 'courtesy' visits myself but the man didn't like that I wouldn't give him my name. He cited Martin…

Brit Gas Unfair Practices Comparisons
I have been checking my Current British Gas tarriff for the last few weeks found Brit Gas websaver 12 was in the top ten. Its shortly due for renewal, and Its likely I would have remained with them (BG) just for convenience. Yesterday I checked the energy shop comparison site and had NO hits whatsoever indicating B.G was…

Switching suppliers - always problematic?
Or are we just unlucky? We moved into a new build house in January. The developers had signed the house up with EDF to supply both gas and electricity. We didn't want to be with EDF so set about switching to the utility companies who'd supplied us at our old house - British Gas and NPower. Switching the gas supply to BG…

Price Rises - should I change from British Gas Websaver 11
Hi, currently on the above tariff. According to energylinx it's one of the cheapest tariffs. What's the scoop on these price rises? Presumably, BG's will just be in line with everyone else's and there won't be any need to change.

Ebico
Anyone any experience of this company? uSwitch just put them top of the list for me to turn to. Their pricing is certainly a refreshing change. Ah ,now I have found other comments - silly me. Funny none of them came up when I first searched Martin for Ebico. HOpe that's the last senior moment today

Switching suppliers advice
I'm thinking of moving suppliers from nPower and Britsh Gas to someone else combined. How do I go about doing it? Is there anything I can use to work out what deals are best? I've been paying DD and they adjust it at the end of each year depending on what's been used. I've never switched before. Thanks to anyone who can…

Worthwhile complaining to Eon about 93p?
My electricity meter was changed on 13th June and it had a reading of 9 kWh when it was installed. I have just had my latest bill and it has been calculated from a meter reading of 0, not 9. Should I complain to Eon about being overcharged by 93p? I do have photographic evidence as to the reading when it was installed.

Seperate gas and electric suppliers seems best deal for me.
Do any switch or cashback sites pay for changing to Ebico? I am at present on EDF online v6 which is ending on 30th June. I've checked a few comparison sites and think I'm going to switch to NPower Online 22 for Electricity and Ebico for gas as it saves me the Gas Transportation cost of around £40 per year so is cheaper…

Landlord not supplying official utility bill
Hi everybody, new here! Here's my situation... Me and my girlfriend left our flat last month and on doing so were presented with an £809 electricity bill for a 9 and half month period. After discussing with our landlord how it could be so high we asked him to supply us with a utility bill. He gave us a piece of paper…

British Gas Economy 7 Billed incorrectly for last 9months

They are now trying to bill me for an additional £550 because of this error. About 6mths ago I received my 1st quarterly bill and it seemed unusually high (It turned out my thermostat in the…

Would you pay 14% more (£155) for your gas and electricity to cap it until March 2014? And more importantly, would you leave Eon and change to EDF?

Centrica Price increase?
Hi All "The wholesale cost of gas has gone up about 30% since the start of the year, so it looks like about an 18-20% price rise is coming from British Gas on gas, and I expect electricity will go up just below 10%".:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Is this true? I read this article in BBC.... Sorry, Im unable to paste the…
