Gas and Electricity bills leave me confused.com!
Hi,
I am currently with scottish power online 7 tariff and have just been emailed a revised bill based on my new meter readings and my monthly direct debit has gone up to £72 per month (for gas and electricity).
I am really struggling to understand why it has gone up so much. at the beginning of the year i was paying £36 per month. My partner moved in and winter has been harsh so i expected an increase at the beginning of the year so was not overly shocked when my bill rose to £60 per month. i did expect this to reduce slightly once summer came and i stopped using so much heating. So now that i have received this increase i am totally shocked.
More so I have checked on money super market and this is cheap compared to what other suppliers are offering who tariffs would equate to over a hundred pounds per month. I know that fuel prices have increased recently but this to me sounds extortionate. We are 2 students studying professional courses (nurse and teacher) and have a fixed income to survive on. Student life was never like this on holyoakes :-)
thanks
