When I called they tried to persude me to stay, telling me that they were the cheapest on line energy provider. I explained my reasons for leaving, i.e. expected price rises and where I was going…

EDF Fixed rate - check your bills!!!
A friend of mine, like me, with EDF, discovered that although he signed up for a fixed rate deal a year ago, they were still charging him variable rates. I checked my bills and discovered that they had also put my gas & elec prices up. A L-O-N-G phone call later (good job it's freephone) and a nice refund came my way :j

What is the difference between Price Capped and Fixed Price?
Sorry for being so thick! If the price is fixed on my gas/electric, does that not mean the same as capped? At present I've seen my gas/elec shoot up in price since I came off my Price capped price with eon. They have put me on a 'Price Protection Plan' but my monthly payment has now increased from £50 per month to £75 and…

£50 Sainsburys vouchers for transferring to Sainsburys Energy
I received an offer via email for transferring to Sainsburys Energy online. I'm doing my calculations and I think I might do it, but wondered if anyone knew whether these are £50 straight up gift vouchers, or whether they have set criteria - eq £10 off when you spend £50 on alcohol, £20 off when you spend £100 on groceries…

No capped deals left - fixed rates until 2011
According to both uSwitch and moneysupermarket, there are only fixed rate deals available now. npower is coming out the cheapest on both sites for us, saving around £164 a year. We are dual fuel customers. Is it generally accepted that fuel prices are going to remain high, and aren't likely to drop, in which case it might…
