Just in case people are using Energyhelpline ...

I received a letter from Eon telling me that they've increased the charges on my EnergyOnline ExtraSaver version 5 (standing charge) with effect from 1 June 2008. I hadn't seen the postings on here (oops!).

So, being an aspiring moneysaver, I went to the Energyhelpline site to see if I could get a better deal elsewhere. But they don't have the right details for my tariff - as just one example, the gas standing charge per day according to the letter from Eon is now 12.17p but Energyhelpline are still showing it as 8.29p per day. When I worked it out myself, Energyhelpline are underestimating my energy costs by about £120. That's quite a big difference.

I am emailing them to tell them that there's a problem and I hope that they will sort it out quickly. I know that Energyhelpline is Martin's top pick which is why I keep going there but I'm rather disappointed that these prices are still not up to date two weeks later. Sadly, this is the second time that this has happened to me with that site. Here's a link to the thread I posted earlier this year http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=739101

I really do like the Energyhelpline site as they're great at showing you lots of detail about the tariffs - the fine details are really important especially nowadays. I just wish that they'd update my tariffs.

Sam

PS: I checked some of the other comparison sites and they do have the new prices.
