What is the difference between Price Capped and Fixed Price?
Sorry for being so thick!
If the price is fixed on my gas/electric, does that not mean the same as capped?
At present I've seen my gas/elec shoot up in price since I came off my Price capped price with eon. They have put me on a 'Price Protection Plan' but my monthly payment has now increased from £50 per month to £75 and that will just about cover my consumption!
Bizarre to think that last October they owed ME money - but my price capped price ended Jan 2008.
I use a lot more electricity than gas. I do wonder if I'd be better off having 2 providers instead of Dual Fuel!
Thanks for any help!

a fixed price is a fixed price, it doesn't change
a capped price is a capped price, it changes but never exceeds a maximum cap0 -

This can certainly be the case on occassions.
Check out the options using the price comparison sites listed in the gas & electricity resource bar above.
I particularly like energyhelpline in this respect as it's a simple matter of clicking on the 3 different tabs (i.e. both, gas only, electricity only)"Now to trolling as a concept. ....
