USwitch danger
Users of USwitch and other comparison sites should be aware of a potential scam being operated by the energy companies. This is even more important to take notice of, with this site so heavily advising you use such sites to save money. I was an Atlantic customer in 2005 and for the first six months of 2006. I paid a fixed…

Ebico no price reduction.
Just been on the phone to Ebico to increase my gas payments, while I was on asked them about price reductions and the answer. They reduced the gas and electric one in March and the other in April. As we only started with them in March we were unaware of this. They are going into the telphone service now as well.

Overpaid gas, best plan of action?
I don't normally pay much attention to my gas bills (yes I know that's bad). This month I got a shock: I pay £44 per month on a monthly payment DD, and I'm currently £480 in credit! I rang (npower) to get this back, but I can't without an up to date meter reading which I can't get until I get home (when they last took a…

Extra savings on switching
I did my regular check to see if I needed to switch suppliers last night, using uswitch as per usual. I found that I could save £97 using Powegen. Instead of signing up through uswitch, I used the quidco portal. This offered £50 if I signed up to the same tariff as was going to save me the money anyway. Therefore I saved…
