P60, P45 vs Payslips
I am in the dilemma understanding the difference between, especially how to work out the difference between the value on my P60 and payslips. To my understanding, i would think that the payment of my employment declare on the P60 should equate the total pay on my payslips. Unfortunately, i can see a difference between the…

Pregnant & Forced onto Sick Pay
I recentley filed a grievance in relation to my employers policy in regards to how i am only entitled to sick pay because they can no longer have me at work. Their policy states that anyone over 28 weeks pregnant can no longer work on site. They cannot offer me any alternate work so therefore have to isolate and can only…

Hello. I was wondering if anyone had advice on this scenario. I work a three shift system and if someone is off, the other two cover it with twelve hour shifts. I found out this week that a guy on another shift's wife is a frontline nhs nurse dealing with patients who have covid-19. She then goes home to him and he then…

Furlough - if you work in payroll
Surely every company will have at least one person who cannot be furloughed - the person who does payroll, as how else would all other employees be paid? Is it therefore possible to be furloughed for 3 weeks on, then one week off to do payroll, then return to furlough again? Thanks

When will salaries go back to normal?
I've noticed that on the few job ads there are the salaries have taken a massive hit, 20k+ in some instances. That doesn't seem sustainable. Surely anyone forced to accept such a low wage will be looking to move on as soon as things recover from COVID-19. Or are they expecting a long recession?

Can my company authroise a pay cut without my explicit acknowlegement?
In these testing times, our company has proposed pay cuts across the board. I understand why, though there is general resentment by employees that senior management have not divulged the numbers that led to their pay cut reasoning. Anyway, they sent an email out to all with a link to a form. The only option was to take a…
