Agency Worker advice needed please

Hi all
I've had a look through the forum but can't see this particular issue anywhere so thought I would post for advice.
My husband is an agency worker on a full time fixed term contract for one employer. He's been there about 6 months so far and it's been extended until October.
Two of us in the family are on 12 week shielding.  Because of this, he is advised to not go to work either, much to his frustration.  So he's not furloughed because the work is still there. He has offered to work from home but he works on a particular system so it's not possible.   He can't claim sick pay because he's not ill !  Is there anything he should be doing or could be doing or does he just have to accept no work so no money?
Thanks in advance for any advice you might be able to give us.

I believe that furlough applies to those in the shielding category seperately from the usual caveats.
