The short of it is I have 27k in debt spread across 3 cc's and an overdraft, I have not missed a payment or defaulted on anything but I have zero cash at the end of the month and interest charges mean I cannot make a dent in the debt. With the current cost of living spiralling and energy costs rocketing this is not…

DMP
Hi, previously I've messaged about not starting my DMP, and people messaged back and told me to hang fire until I receive default letters, well because on breathing space all I've received is letters acknowledging the breathing space but when this finishes at the end of October and I still haven't received any default…

Questions about credit reports
Hi all, 1. My credit reports shows 8 defaulted accounts. For one of them I owed Novuna and the account had defaulted, they transferred the balance to Lowell which also shows the same account on the same credit report as a second default. Is this normal to have it defaulted twice on the report? I've not seen it before so it…

STEPCHANGE
I recently used Stepchange as I thought it was a budget planner! (My bad). I didn't realise that it was a company/charity that can help with debt problems. After inputting my data, the results were OK, and I gladly did not need any help. I then had daily e mails form Stepchange so logged in to try and delete my account and…

Debt free as from today.
I'm posting this in the hope it may help others who are perhaps early in their debt free journey. I know I always felt there was hope for me when I read how others had become debt free. I've had a lot of help and support via this board and for that I am so greatful. The dairies are inspiring and full of good tips. I'd…

What Small Things Will You Do This Week? 12/09/22
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when…

Debt Consolidation
Are there any further options for debt consolidation if the banks have rejected your loan applications? They seem quite happy to keep taking the money at 40% on an overdraft and various credit cards but don’t want to transfer it over to an interest free or a low interest loan? I have never missed a payment but my credit…

Hi All, After some advice, if you don't mind. I have an old debt that I believe to be statute barred.
