Percentage of Credit Used vs. Amount of Credit Available
Which is better... There's only one way to find out... FIGHT!!! :D Anyway... I'm currently digging my way out of debt after moving in with my parents and I've got to the point where getting a 0% balance transfer deal would shave a few months off the process. I have a Halifax current account with a ridiculously expensive…

Advice re HSBC please
Hi all, I am on a DMP with CCCS having sought advice here some time ago and it has been a weight off my shoulders. Although a long way to go - I think I have been relatively fortunate with how my creditors have responded - most have frozen or reduced interest expect for ...HSBC. They sent my mastercard debt to Moorcroft…

Hi - Where to go for advice?
I went to my bank last week for advice re: existing debt. I just wanted a review to see if I was doing everything right to pay it off, but he proceeded to try and sell me a loan to consolidate, which is not what I wanted at that point at all! Debts are currently on 0% deals which will come to an end in the next few months…

Account in Credit!

Considering 4 months ago I was almost 1800 pounds overdrawn on pay day I think that's pretty good going! Sorry to sound like I'm bragging here, but I feel like I'm about half way to having all my debt…

Advice Required Re Defaults & Settled Accounts
Hi All, I'm posting this as I have seen lots of conflicting information regarding defaults and settled accounts. I'll use this example: A mobile phone debt defaulted 01/01/2007 Settled 01/01/2010 Does the default drop off the credit file 6 years from the default date or 6 years from the settled date? I.e. 01/01/2013 -…

On the edge and dont want to fall
I dont know where to start. What I do know is we're in a mess! I realise it could be a lot worse, but if I don't try and organise some changes, things will become desperate. I will post SOA below. It seems as though every month we end up using credit cards to get food and petrol and now the credit card repayments are…

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation.
