Advice re HSBC please

Options
Hi all, I am on a DMP with CCCS having sought advice here some time ago and it has been a weight off my shoulders. Although a long way to go - I think I have been relatively fortunate with how my creditors have responded - most have frozen or reduced interest expect for ...HSBC.

They sent my mastercard debt to Moorcroft who wrote to me once and have heard nothing since but the debt seemed to increase when it went to them and I have no idea why - I have not had any statements or anything from them - should I have done?

Secondly, I had a current account with HSBC before moving on advice as I started DMP - however they still keep extending my overdraft facility and charging for the pleasure! I have written to them several times (and again today) advising that again, I no longer have an active current account with them - all about the payments from CCCS etc and that they can liaise directly with CCCS regarding the account...Is there something else I can do please? The overdraft charges wipe out anything I pay them so the deby will never clear at this rate.

Thank you in anticipation of whatever help you can give

Can't you just close the account?
Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.
  • I have advised them that the account is close over 12 months ago - no salary has been paid in which is a breach of their terms for an overdraft anyway - but they seem to be ignoring the fact that the account has been closed.

Well I have written to them again, recorded delivery advising that I no longer have an account with them and that overdraft charges are increasing a debt when they have been informed I have financial difficulties.

As an aside- should the collection agency they have put my credit card to, have sent me a statement also??

    Thank you
