Making overpayments
Hi all, I have a secured loan with Welcome Finance and having now got my other finances in order, I contacted them last week to find out about making overpayments. The phone call was a real eye opener. I took out a £10k loan over 15 years and make a payment of £245 per month. Did build up £800 in arrears which I realise my…

We have today received a settlement letter from Paragon Loans, we took a loan out on our property about 3 years ago, they encouraged us to take the insurance on the loan, which bumped it it up by around 8K - after a few months we cancelled the insurance and they said that was the end of the matter. in fact what they have…

I am finding it difficult to budget.....
I have been on a DMP for over a year now which has cut the amount of debt I pay out each month. Fab! Since that began, I've been living like a hermit on my own. I'm a single guy on a less than flattering income for my age. I can't really afford to go out, can't afford to go on holiday and when something comes along like a…

Are your debts shared with your OH?
I've seen a couple of posts where people say "I can ask my OH to help but they won't be happy about paying off my debt." Is this just people who have been together a short time? Any married couples with children take this view? I find it odd TBH, we've been married 2 years, living together 4, and everything is joint! We…

Old Halifax Mortgage / Tomlin Orders / New Question!
Hi all, I'll try to make this clear (it's anything but to me at least). It's a long story so I'll summarize it if I can. Had a house repossessed in 1999 which the Halifax sold in 2000 with a loss or shortfall of almost £8900. This fell short in time frames for the statute whereby they won't chase you any longer and upon…

CCA getting technical can any one help please?
I sent a Account in Dispute - Section 10 Notice letter obtained from the forum. The CCA letter states 'Quoted from their letter' " You have not specified upon which grounds you rely for your notice under s10 of the Data Protection Act, we do not consider this valid; furthermore this is not a valid request as it falls under…

So really, Credit Expert are…

I had an arrangement to pay an over the limit OD with lasted one month back in Feb 2008 with Barclays. Received my credit file from Experian and noticed it shows up on my history. 1. How adverse are…

Well, if no one else is going to bother... :D My grandparents are down and looking around Bath on their own today so I can get some work done. We went to Glastonbury yesterday, which was fun. I got to have a little wander around the Abbey and we had scones. I feel very happy today and ready to get on with some work. (I'm…
