Aktiv Kapital are still trying to get me to pay them even though they can't provide a credit agreement. Ambrose Wilson…

Aeshna - Scared but determined!
Hi everyone I've been lurking about the forum for a while now, knowing in my heart of hearts that I need to face up to my debt, but not actually doing it. I took the bull by the horns on Friday night, and after a few deep breaths opened all the mail I've been opening but not actually reading. Gulp! I have officially now…

My wife is on redundancy alert, and expects to be offered this before Christmas. We own our house, and have debts of £60k. We're at our wits end, and recently came up with a plan to…

I think this might be a favourite here - Mackenzie Hall!
My partner is getting letter to my house (I live alone with our daughter) his parents house and even his ex-MIL's house from MH. We're all also getting texts and phone calls from them. I know they can't do anything for an old debt and they can't take anything from any of our houses because he doesn't live there, but does…

Hi I have been on a DMP for 7 months now, my husband and i have done this entirely ourselves, before seeking help from Payplan or CCCS. We took advice from National DebtLine and they have been a great help. Everything has been going ok, although I have just experienced problems with Capital One regarding a conveniently…

Pounds till Payday
Hi, I am new to these forums. I have a problem. A few months ago I took out a loan from pounds till payday for £400 due to financial hardship. They failed to set up the direct debit, which meant they did not take the money on my payday. I then told them that I could pay next month-they added fees, making a total of: around…

Beware:mortgage rate cuts may NOT be passed on automatically
I have a tracker mortgage. I talked to my lender: they said they would not automatically reduce the amount I pay in line with the coming interest cuts. Instead of reducing the monthly amount automatically , they would wait for me to ask to reduce the amount to be paid. In other words, if I didn't ask, I would be overpaying…
