free course fees - old thread, can't find
Hi folks, I seem to recall an old thread from the summer about grants of £100 - £200 for adults to study short courses free of charge but after an hour of searching I can't find it! Anyone remember what it was called? I know there are ILAs in Scotland and Wales but can't recall if there is an English equivalent?

Paying a bill in 1p and 2p (HBOS)
I've counted my 1p, 2p and other change jar and have £37 I want to pay this off my credit card, if I go inot the bank will they accept £37 worth of change to pay a bill?

I remember reading a while ago that at some point in the new year we get 2 months 'off' our council tax so we don't have to pay... was I imagining this and if not does anyone know which months it is? Having £99 spare for 2 months would come in very handy. :D
