Impulse Buying!
I’m not actually in debt, but find this board a great help to stop me overspending. I know I have a problem, and if I was on a lower wage I would have most probably ended up in thousands of pounds debt. My problem is impulse buying. I can quite happily be sitting at my computer reading a forum or web page, when I follow a…

She's pregnant, so my brother is going to be a dad for this first time. They came to visit us because they hadn't yet seen my son who is now 5 months old. I did…

How on earth do you do it???
I'm reading through everyone's posts and keep seeing budgets of £80-100 per month for food. How do you do this? I've managed to shave £s off my bill by planning meals in advance, buying from the reduced section and keeping an eye on BOGOFs but... £80 a month??? I'm seriously over the top with my budget and there is only…

BBC News Article / Program
Just been reading this... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/5029530.stm quite interesting, nothing we didn't already know though? It's on Tv tomorrow "The Whistleblower. What have you spent today, Sun 4th Jun
I'm up early this morning so i'll start today's thread. I was hoping just to spend on bread and milk today but my dog clippers gave out half way through grooming one of the dogs last night so she's left with half a very bad haircut (as opposed to the full very bad haircut she normally gets!). With one and a half dogs yet…

Unpaid parking tickets
Hi I have a question and have posted it here as it vaguely shakes hands with the whole debt thing. Someone I know has recevied notification that their car is going to be seized as they have at least one unpaid parking ticket against it. It is a fairly new car (about 4-5 years old). Here is the rub though - there is…

Higher mortgage, higher debt and a shell of a house.
I know that I am relatively lucky compared to others but I am not feeling very happy tonight. Today we went to see the house we are moving to in about 3 weeks time. I had only seen it once before on a winter's day and I assumed that was why it was so dark. However, today it was a bright summer day and that house was dark,…
