My story so far

I realised in feb 06 i was in deep debt,( thought is was around 30 kish) and i would be able to handle it....

well after contacting payplan and working it out fully found out it was more than 60k

un fortunatly at the time i was self emmployed and income was not high enough so i got a job. (for a bank)
so when all the credit checks etc had been done i contacted payplan again and asked to go ahead with a DMP

they then added all my dedts up and at that time it was 64k(see sig)

i have now paid my first payment to payplan (25th may)
and i am waiting for the resonce from my creditors.

Capital 1 have frozen the intrest and accepted the dmp
goldfish have said the WILL accept the dmp when they recive it
RBS (various cards bank acc and loan) have said nothing yet
morgan stanly have said nothing yet
egg have said nothing yet
mbna have accepted one offer on 1 card and rejected the rest, they said that they will continue to add interst and charges to the 3 cards they have rejected and review it in july (AGGRRRR)

well i hape my debt willl start to drop soon
and ill keep you updated :)
Debit was £64k (light bulb Feb 05)
Debt now 60K Dec 07 DFD= nov2019

Chin up... it's a horrible moment when you tot up the figures and realise you owe twice what you thought you did. I had buried my head in the sand for so long I really had no clue and tried not to think about it. You're on the right track now so you should see progress very soon- I've only just started at this so have yet to see much progress but am very optimistic from reading success stories from other people on this board!
