Two very sad but rather too common stories of how these banks want us all to be working for them every single hour of the day. Imagine been able to spend almost your annual salary on a credit card .....0

I hate being manipulated by people, and I feel completely manipulated by my creditors now!
How can otherwise intelligent people like myself, end up being so blinkered when it comes to credit? According to this programme, I was a revolver. Never, ever, again will I get credit. I only use cash to pay for things now as I am on a DMP, and it really does mean that I watch every penny. When I was using credit cards, I used to live off it. My every day spending was on credit cards.
I find now that I really think about spending money now.
My parents wouldn't ever have lived like I did. They wouldn't have had the opportunity. Credit is far too easy to get these days.
I've just remembered that when I had my credit limit increased, I rang to ask if they'd reduce it, but they said they'd leave it as it was 'in case I needed it'. Of course, needless to say, I saw the need.
Rant over! I'm just glad I found this website, and managed to continue the good work I'd started with the DMP.DMP mutual support number 174Total debt now (April 10) £0! - total paid off £30,221 or 100%I'm now debt free after 6 years!!:jNon smoker since June 2006 :j0 -

My bank have just rung up on spec for a financial "review". They're clearly a bit miffed that we no longer have an overdraft or loan with them and that their credit card is now being paid off in full each month. They couldn't sell me the gold account or any life assurance either - I must be becoming a disappointment to them!0
