Unpaid parking tickets

Hi
I have a question and have posted it here as it vaguely shakes hands with the whole debt thing.
Someone I know has recevied notification that their car is going to be seized as they have at least one unpaid parking ticket against it. It is a fairly new car (about 4-5 years old). Here is the rub though - there is outstanding (defaulted) finance on the car. So who gets the car? The finance company or the unpaid parking ticket bailiffs? What will happen to the car? Would it get crushed/sold etc?
Thanks in advance
Edited to add: The finance for the car is secured against the car. Not a bank loan.

As the car technically belongs to the finance company I don't think a bailiff can seize it. If they tried to do so then production of the finance papers should deter them. If the loan is defaulted though it presumably is only a matter of time before the finance company themselves recover the car for re-sale at whatever price they can get for it. If I recall correctly from what others have said on here, that does not expunge the finance agreement though and anything outstanding is still payable.0

Just found this

Any more experts out there?0 -
What stops them paying the parking fine?0

Surely if the car still belongs to the finance company, the bailiffs will simply be granted a warrant to gain access to the premises and seize goods to the value of the amount owed.
Personally I wouldn’t let it get and worse and would just pay off the bill anyway I could, even if it ment selling some of my positions. If the bailiffs do visit they will add an extra £250-300 onto the bill, taking even more of the property.0 -

No idea, quite frankly! It would scare me rigid - and it isn't a huge amount of money really that is owed.
The people in question have moved house and I suspect thought that they could leave the debts behind. Foolish.
Thanks for the replies.0 -
Just advise to pay the fines ASAP! That's the best advice at this time!0
