Use a credit card to pay in monthly instalments
Hi all :) I'm moving to the UK next month for work. I landed a permanent position in London and it's wonderful :) I do have some questions though. You see, I'm Croatian and here it's the norm for people with credit cards such as American Express or Diners to use them for big buys (a couch, a washing machine, a fridge etc)…

Why does RBS direct debit my account 10 days before credit card due date?
I have a direct debit setup for the full balance on my credit card and noticed that they take the money out a full 10 days before the due date. All my other cards debit my account on the due date. This sounds odd to me. Aren't they effectively reducing the no.of interest free days I get by 10 days?Is this a fair business…

BarclayCard & Amex Credit Limits
Just received both my Barclaycard & Amex credit card statements and they have increased my limits. £25k & £37,500 respectively. My question is this bad for my credit rating having high limits on the cards? I don't use the Barclaycard ever. Any advice would be helpful. I've read the guide but it just refers to what % you…

Hi, I primarily use my Amex Platinum Charge card for all purchases as i get the points and pay no interest. My question is with the protection that you get by using a credit card. Good Morning Experts I have a question that hopefully you experts can help with. When your debts decrease due to you paying off the balance on credit cards, is it best to: a) decrease the limit on the cards (reducing the available credit) or b) leave the limits as they stood (thus leaving lots of available credit? Which is…
