Hello....don't know if this is the right place to post this..but I have just been left without a valid pin number for my debit card until the 29th of December due to a blunder on their behalf..they sent me a new card with a new pin..but the pin number apparently was a dummy pin..as I have been told on the phone today when I told them I could not change it to my old pin....the number they sent me was 1234..I did laugh...apparently they have sent this to a large number of people...but I now am pinless till after Xmas...They have offered me a small amount of compensation..but not anywhere near what the inconvenience of having to find a Santander bank on my travels..(I am doing some travelling over the holidays) and also carrying my full ID with me and proof of address and carrying largish amounts of money with me..anyone else and this and what can I do about it? Not a happy customer! Help! Ady

Do you have a credit card you can use.
Do you have a member of family who trusts you and you can borrow a credit card from them and pay when statement arrives.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I think this example shows why it is a good idea to have more than one credit card or bank account.
If one banks systems crash or they mess up in some way, at least you are not totally stuck if you have another account0
