American Express Educational Status?

Just wondering if anyone else ever had to enter their educational status, when applying for a any other credit card/s.
It's seem like a strange thing for american express to ask, think they are only one's asking this.

Can't remember having had to do it, I would guess that they are gathering information for marketing purposes with that question.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0

They've asked for the highest level of education achieved on each card I've held. No idea if it has an effect on their decision, or what they do with the information, however!
It probably forms part of their internal scoring criteria, an assumption that someone with a higher level of education may be more likely to repay/spend more/whatever.0 -

ive never been asked that by a card provider.. but no problem. they are trying to profile their customers further.0
