Next account and CC
We have a Next account that we use mainly for their VIP incentives. It took a bit of a battering when we had a wedding to attend and needed outfits for 4. Think the balance is around £250-£270. Should I pay it off with my 0% credit card or just leave the balance on there? Is having all 'debt' in one place better if…

What is credit card 'loading'?
Just wanted to check my understanding, as I'm looking to get a different credit card for abroad as my current HSBC one charges for pretty much all usage (as I as have several city breaks lined up next year, where I typically make small payments, the charges start to add up!) I've read on MSE about the Halifax Clarity card…

Paying bills with a credit card?
Can you pay bills with a credit card? If so does it count as purchases or as cash advance? Also is this the same for all card providers? Specifically I want to pay an online catalogue bill not because I am struggling to meet repayments but because I have had customer relations issues and would like to sever ties with them…

Does a small incorrect spelling of surname really stop you from getting credit?
This is something I don't understand. I was told as long as the date of birth, address and other information is accurate then a typo error of just 1 letter of a surname does not make a difference when applying for a credit card and getting credit checked...Now I keep being told that a error of even 1 letter of a surname…

Minimum Payments/Lump Sum
I'm selling my house and plan to down-size, so I should end up with cash at the end of the process. I have CC debts and wondered if a transfer to a 0% interest deal might help. My intention would be to pay the transfer fee, then the minimum amount each month until I sell the house. At that point, I would then pay off the…

Double Charged Pay-at-Pump.
I had a few issues at a laggy/defective Tesco pump terminal today. Just checked online banking and there are 2 pending transactions when there should only be one. Its likely that I've paid for the person before me aswell as for my own fuel. Has this happened to any of you good people? I've sent Santander a secure message…

Theft?
I need some advice here. Firstly when you use your credit card in a shop I assume the communication is directly with your bank immediately and certainly on the same day. Secondly is it possible for someone else to access your account using the same method but without the card, just the number? The reason I ask and I am…
