Travelling to Australia in February, Can anyone recommend a cheap easy hassle free c/c.
Would be paying off any debits quite quickly.
Can you also explain pre-payment cards, are these better ?

Halifax Clarity Credit Card would be a starting point for the credit worthy, Kalixa prepay for others.
Always have a plan B for if your preferred card fails you. Even if those back up cards charge foreign currency fees.
Minimise cash withdrawals. Look to make purchases whenever possible. Use FP to clear balance to minimise interest.0
