Holiday balance
I purchased a holiday (flights, hotels, transfers etc.) through a travel company and paid a deposit of just over £1000 on credit card. There is just under £2500 balance remaining. Is there any advantage in paying the rest by CC and paying 2.5% surcharge or should I just pay the rest off by visa debitcard? The company has…

Charges
I could not find a section on bank charges so have added it here. In the early [art of the millennium I sought to claim back some unfair charges on my bank account. I used an outside company and all looked positive...until the whole thing was quashed. I simply gave up. But recently I have seen that you can still appeal…

Card charges claimback
Hi all. I am trying to find out some information regarding unfair credit card charges. I used to have a credit card and ran into problems so I used a debt handling company to help. They resolved with my bank (Lloyds TSB) that I would pay a certain amount on a certain date. I was paying £25 per month. But each month they…

Barclaycard blocked when PAYG topped up
EVERY time I try to top up my PAYG mobile phone using my Barclaycard, usually once or twice a year, they block my card. Recently this happened in an emergency when our landline was down. Every time I complain, they claim it is a 'random' check for "unusual" activity. No matter that I tell them to check how many times I…

Buying a car - cash back credit card?
Hi I'm looking at a new (second hand) car this spring. Cash is in the bank, so is there anything I can do to get some decent cashback by paying for it on a credit card? Lots of them seem to have relatively low max cashback values. I'll also need a decent limit on it as the car is likely to be ~£20k. TIA Mike

Best card for a 'larger' balance transfer
I need to transfer approx £6400 from a Barclaycard as the 0% interest period is due to run out soon. I have applied for (and was accepted for) both Halifax and Tesco 28 month interest free balance transfer credit cards but neither could offer me anything over £2350 as a balance transfer limit. Obviously this is not enough…

Hi, How soon after applying online (and being approved) for a credit card can you use it? Do you have to wait for the card to arrive in the post and then activate it before using it or could you theoretically buy something online straight away? Section 75 - Do I have the option
Hi All, I bought a car just over 3 weeks ago and I'm having intermittent gearbox issues. The dealer stated that the gearbox is covered under a 3month warranty and sent 'a man in a van' to look.
