in Credit cards
Hi all
On 29\01\14 I bought £86 worth if diesel on my tesco credit card at a tesco 'pay at pump' and then went into the store where I spent £6 on the card.
Today I logged onto the credit card account to pay this off and there is no sign of the diesel transaction. This is almost a week ago now, anyone have any idea what's happened? Can it take this long to process? ( the £6 transaction is showing and I have paid this of today)
Thanks

Rarely it does take this long. You'll probably find it goes through in the next couple of days.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

Do you have the recipt for the diesel? Possible they only charged you for the shop and not the fuel.
Do they stick pictures on the wall of cars that drove off without paying?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I definitely paid for it, I distinctly remember putting the pin in as it's a card i don't use often and had to stop for a minute to think of the number.
They would phone the police if I hadnt paid, and surely I'd have had a chap at the door by now
The car is registered and insured to my address.
Checked again there, payment still not showing....Mtg - £154,000 Credit card £2,220

Occasionally there are glitches where something shows up months later.
Technically it's legally enforceable for 6 years, so I wouldn't go spending the £86 just yet.
If it was me I wouldn't worry about it because it's not an amount that would bother me if I had to pay it later on.
If it was a larger amount I'd probably chase it up because the odds are that you will have to pay it one day.0 -
Have you looked at your available balance and see if it's still has the hold on?0
-
Wait for a week and then try to phone the petrol station if you can find a number for them.
BTW, there is no need to pay it off straight away, unless you didn't clear your balance in full in the previous month.0 -
I'll not be spending it. If its not cleared by the end of the month I'll add the money into my savings and keep it in case it clears later down the line.
Very strange.

Why do you think an IT glitch is that strange?
In years gone by it was when a piece of paper got temporarily lost.0 -
Suppose its because I've never heard of this happening before. I normally use switch for everything and iv never had a problemMtg - £154,000 Credit card £2,220
