Horrified by Debenham's hard sell technique
Hi all Just wanted to share an experience I had today in Debenham's. I was stood behind another customer when the cashier asked her if she wanted to ' earn 3 points for every pound she spent' and that she 'didn't have to pay now but in 56 days time'. However not once did she actually point out this was for a credit card.…

Amex referrals - are they working for you?
I've sent a referral today, but didn't get the usual confirmation email. I will check with the person I referred tomorrow, but I'm wondering if you had any issues with referrals recently? They have changed the user interface.

It also has a 3 month interest free on the purchases. I want to pay off £100 per month. However, I called to ask where my payments will come off, (transfer or balance)…

Payment Allocation Question
Hello, I've got a Nationwide CC that has 20 months at 0% for Balance Transfers, and 12 months 0% on Purchases. I know that higher interest balances are paid off first, but obviously both are at 0%. Go Sainsburys Nectar CC
Just had to have a little rant. Last weekend I decided to try my luck with a Sainsburys Nectar credit card. I know it's run by Halifax and I have no great love for them, but we do the bulk of our shopping at Sainsburys, especially now the missus works there. I went through their online application and when I got to the…

Going into debt isn't a problem as I can pay it off each month (Ive read all the…

Maestro debit card online payment problems?
I do a lot of online shopping with my Yorkshire Bank Maestro card - mostly no problems. But lately I have encountered two retailers which no longer accept them. They say that Maestro is not as secure as other cards. It makes no difference that my card is registered with a securecode. Anyone else had this?
