Credit Card
Hi all Quick back story... in 2007 I accumulated £30,000 worth of debt, I'll call it a mid life crisis! Rather than take the easy option I've finally now paid every pound back, it's been a tough few years but it was definitely worth it, I even managed to pay one loan two years early. Now I'm looking at getting a credit…

How is my credit rating updated if I pay more than the minimum?
I've just started paying off age-old credit card balances, paying more than double the minimum monthly payment. How is my credit rating updated if I pay more than the minimum? How do the agencies know? For example, a year ago, I was refused a loan following a credit reference check. If I continue to 'aggressively' pay off…

I have been a Barclaycard customer for many years. When I last logged in to my online account I was presented with two nag screens. I ran through the direct debit setup with them for the full amount every month but the woman on the phone said the first DD will be on 1st September. Just wondering why it won't be the 1st of August? Or does it have to be a full month? Thanks
