Equifax late payment correction

I am a 23 year old male graduate just started working approx 10 months ago post university. I have never owned a credit card have the usual student current account etc.

I am currently thinking of changing my car and will hence need some finance, not much maybe five or six thousand as I have my current car and some more saved for a deposit.

Before looking for cars I thought I would check my credit report. I looked it up with equitax nd nearly hit the roof when I saw it was 307!!

I looked through my report and everything was in the green electrol roll etc apart from one account. A old mobile account with 02 showed up red with January 2011 payment showing up as 5 payments late February had a 'Q' next too it and march had 2 payments late.

During this time with o2 they miscalculated my bill for each month as one of my bolt ons want working this was there fault and my bills were out into dispute, and finally recreated and recorrected. I was advised to cancel my direct debit by one of there advisors in order the wrong payment wasn't taken out. When the correct bills were calculated I paid them fully without any hesitation.

I contacted O2 credit referrals and told them of the situation and told them I would be seeking legal advice over the matter.

After a few few emailS I have today received this response:

I have checked the account and can see that you did dispute several bills between October 2011 and February 2012.
!
As such I have now removed the late payment flags and replaced them with dispute flags, which simply means you queried your invoice we sent you.
!
Please allow 48 hours for the change to complete.
!
Regards

My question is does this mean my score will go up?....if so when?...secondly does a query on your account show up as negative?....finally will this reflect on other credit reports such as experian etc or do I have to contact them individually.

Finally do I need to take any further action such as put a toe on my file explaining the queries or will this reflect badly

Thanks for the help ,

    scores mean zzzzzzzzzzzzipppppppppp
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Even if the score isn't a true indicator the late payments would have affected my credit and chances of a good deal on interest in future, but will this correction now bring my credit report from the red back into green ?

This correction should certainly improve your standing with banks when you apply for credit.

Also make sure you are on the electoral roll. This will help your score to rise.
