Hi all,
My Capital One card arrived this week so rang them up to activate it. I ran through the direct debit setup with them for the full amount every month but the woman on the phone said the first DD will be on 1st September.
Just wondering why it won't be the 1st of August? Or does it have to be a full month?
Thanks

Not enough time to make sure it is set up. So remember to make a manual payment for the first month.0

If you've just got the card, you probably won't get a statement until August. Then there's an interval of typically 15-25 days between the statement date and the due date, and the DD goes on the due date.
They'd have to be very quick off the mark with the first statement for you to have a payment due on 1st August."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. Agree. I just got a Capital One card and I didnt have a payment to make for a good 6-7 weeks.0
