Credit reference Agencies...
Which banks/cc companies use which agencies? My report goes from ''poor'' to ''fair'', depending on the CRA concerned. I had missed mortgage payments for most of last year due to a very acrimonious break up, but every other bill was paid. I now find myself with a very well paid job (50k p/a), no mortgage or rent to pay,…

Very, Freemans...pay off with Credit Card?
I have an outstanding balance of roughly £1100. I have a ridiculous rate on both, one of them 49.9%. Is it possible for me to balance transfer these to a credit card? If not can I get a card with a better rate just to pay it off? I applied for a loan about 6months ago to help with the debt but was declined. My credit is…

Do you think American Express cards with no annual fee are harder to get than those with an annual fee, or does that make no difference whatsoever? Just wondering!

Wonder if somebody could give some advice. I've had a Dorothy Perkins Store Card operated by Santander for many many years now and have always been satisfied with the service. I occupationally use my card to grab and bargain in the sale or if I desperately need something - always paid off in full with I receive my…

Fallen into a Credit Card Trap - Help!
I don't know where it all went wrong - I used to be very careful with money but in the last couple of years - well, I haven't been. I am trying to get back on the wagon, but have fallen into a trap that I didn't see coming, that, coupled with my more recent sticking my head in the sand tendancy - means I feel well and…

AA cashback card rewards cut
Took out an AA cashback card in March this year. Just had an email to say 'we're simplifying our redemption policy'. Among lots of verbiage to say how things aren't changing really, they've halved the value of using points on things from their catalogue, to be the same as cashback (0.5%), instead of 1%. So the usual…

Overdraft! What to do?
Hi, I have a £2,500 overdraft which I'm currently paying £40 for a month. I'm keen to transfer it elsewhere so that my salary is not eaten by it, and pay it off in installments. I have looked around and seen 'super credit cards' where you can pay money into your bank account, which pays off the overdraft, then you pay back…

Simon7685 started a thread a few days ago, pointing out that aqua had redesigned their website, and launched a new…

Tesco Visa online payments
If you make online banking payments to Tesco Visa, check your details as Tesco have recently changed their system and didn't think it necessary to tell anyone. I have just been on the phone to them because my card was declined on Saturday. They said it was declined because there wasn't enough credit left. We keep a small…

Post Office interest charged on purchases but no purchase made?
Hello I have recently used my Post Office credit card to make a 0% balance transfer.
