Very, Freemans...pay off with Credit Card?

Options
I have an outstanding balance of roughly £1100. I have a ridiculous rate on both, one of them 49.9%. Is it possible for me to balance transfer these to a credit card?
If not can I get a card with a better rate just to pay it off?

I applied for a loan about 6months ago to help with the debt but was declined. My credit is fair so I am limited to what I can apply for. Any advice to help deal with this debt would be greatly appreciated as the rate on these accounts is stupid.

Cheers.

You want a card that has a deal on purchases rather than balance transfers. RBS and Natwest have good deals.
  • How do you balance transfer from things like this though, there are no card numbers or expiry dates on the accounts? They are just online credit accounts.

Some cards allow balance transfers to a bank account which would allow you to pay this off - Virgin and other MBNA cards.

They do usually attract a higher fee for the transfer. Work out how much this would cost you for the transfer and any interest on the c/c balance - I can't imagine that the interest would be as high as 49.9%
