Wrong item sent to me from America
Hi all, bit of a problem on my hands. I bought a car that was imported from America last year. The person who imported it managed to get it through an MOT over here, the MOT ran out last week so I've taken it to be tested and it's failed due to having illegal lights for driving in this country. The only place that sells…

Company gone into Administration after Purchase
Hi Guys I hope I've got the right forum! Basically we signed up for Solar Panels and agreed to pay by finance. Unfortunately, the company we signed up with for the panels went into administration two days after the fitting. It seems that the company that they worked with to offer the finance now won't give us the loan to…

Right to Reject after initial replacement
Hi, I bought a brand new Maxda MX5 Sport Recaro on the 6th June, and within a day reported a clunking and rattling sound coming from underneath when I changed gear. After some investigation it turned out that there was a manufacturing fault with the rear diff and they agreed that they would exchange the vehicle for…

Samsung TV not working
I bought a Samsung TV a year and 11 months ago and today on two occasions when I have tried turning it on, it has just turned on and off non-stop for about 30 minutes. Then finally works. But the controller won't work at all while it's doing this. It was bought from Currys and only had a year warranty on it. I'm worried…

Dodgy Ryanair behaviour: need advice
I think it’s true that you get what you pay for and that was never more apparent when I tried to put in a claim for damaged luggage. Ryanair have at every opportunity tried to make the claim as complicated as possible and are now refusing to even process the claim. After collecting my luggage I found that the bottom of it…

Very.co.uk faulty goods nightmare!!
So I purchased a phone from Very.co.uk on the 22/03/2016 and was received on 28/03/2016. Almost 2 months later I noticed a fault with the screen as it looked like it had some sort of orange/yellow discolouration. I contacted the retailer Very.co.uk about the problem and they told me to contact the manufacturer (Samsung)…

Quick question. 2 days ago my son booked a hotel room via booking.com. He got the confirmation e mail but when he arrived this evening he was told his booking had been cancelled! Laptop defunct after 9 months - what are my rights
Last Summer my 4 year old Windows 7 laptop crashed intermittently but continued to work after switching off and on. By early September 2015, I decided to buy a new one and bought an Acer in John Lewis. I set it up and because I needed time to get used to Windows 10 I decided to try it later. I was away from home a lot…

Is shop obliged to replace or refund 5 month old laptop that nearly caught fire?
Problem in short: 5 month old HP laptop purchased from Curry's started smoking, could smell burning plastic - corner of it got so hot in a matter of just minutes the plastic all melted. If this had been unattended serious damage/fire could very well have occurred - or worse. Curry's say they will only 'fix' it - no money…

ACCESS storage haven't taken fees for 24 months
Hi, We arranged a storage contract with Access to be paid by direct debit. Apparently they never processed it properly and admittedly we had not noticed that payments were not going out. They have contacted us to say that no payments have been made for 24 months. Are we 100% liable for this error?
