Hi,
I sent off my Pioneer Amp to be repaired, the repairing company received my amp on the 10th of June, they informed me that a new part was ordered and was expected to be delivered and fitted by 24th June, however I phoned up today 28th June only to be told that the part is going to arrive with them on the 12th July which is over a month since they received my item. Can anyone please tell me how long a company has to repair an item and if there is anything I can do as I'm not happy to have been lied to and that I have been without my amp for so long?
Thanks in advanced.

I would suggest that being without an amplifier for any period is unlikely to be a significant inconvenience.
If you are paying for the repair, then I believe they should perform the service within 30 days unless a different time period is agreed.
As an aside, why do you think you have been lied to?
Have you considered the possibility that the repair's supplier has simply let him down?0 -
The repair is being completed under warranty. The company will be over the 30 days but is that enough to escalate further and even if I wanted to who would I turn to?
The repair company told me that the part would arrive in 3 days as I had chased for a time frame so I would know how long I would need to wait, then when I contacted them today I was informed that they have an up to date sheet of all items and when they are expected to arrive which increased significantly to 12 July, and then they still need to install, test and post the item back to me.
Just not happy with the level of service I've received and over a month without the amp as you say is a significant inconvenience.

Then you are entirely reliant on the terms of that warranty.
A manufacturer's warranty?
If so, the manufacturer owes you nothing beyond the terms of the warranty.
Any statutory rights you may have are with the seller.
Did you buy direct from the manufacturer?0
