Does anyone know why under 12 is the cut off age for children re holiday wins?

I have it set so that I receive notifications whenever I am mentioned, a tweet is favourited, I receive a DM, retweets etc. However these last few days I have not been receiving emails to advise whenever any of the above happen. Anything received anything this morning, recorded, signed for that they weren't expecting? Have arrived home from a night away to a red card - they tried to deliver this morning but I was obviously out. Just me or others received something they weren't expecting this morning? When using the thread below to search for Facebook or twitter wins it just comes up with a load of other names, I have tried to search "my name" "win" "winner "congratulations" ...any ideas what I'm doing wrong ? Not sure if this is the right place for this thread, so apologies if not. comps that only accept entry if you opt in to mailings etc against DPA?
shortlist / mr hyde is the main one I can remember, and now OK - I thought the whole idea of DPA was to allow opt OUT of marketing.. these give you no choice, if you want to enter?
