I cant win a thing lately!!

I am just having a moan but haven't won anything in 6 weeks, not a single little win!! I am not attention seeking just wondering what I am doing wrong, I turned 50 in may and had just one win after that, is it a age thing, even my kids are asking have you won anything yet! Is Anyone else having a dry spell come along and tell me it will make me feel better!

It's a pure numbers game in the end plus lots of luck.

    How many do you enter?

Maybe try some of the effort comps as they tend to get less "traffic".

Then just enter & forget.Just view the wins an an extra & the comping as a hobby.

I only do about 30 a day but used to still get a couple of wins every month, I have got a bit more picky about which ones I enter and used to be quite good at writing witty things on facebook and have had a few wins on there but not any more!

I'm in my 50's and still winning so don't worry about your age.. in fact use it to your advantage and enter gransnet and 50+ type comps with abandon :D
I had a quiet spell in February but am back to winning well.. iPad Air.. Turkish holiday and a beautiful Chamilia bracelet plus numerous small things in the last month.
Keep entering, don't lose the faith.. you will win :)

It doesn't help when the MSE newsletter gets sent out telling people that "Competitions are an easy way to make money" and directs them to this forum.

Hence the influx of new members recently - more people entering, less chances to win

You're not doing anything wrong and it has nothing to do with your age. Most people have dry spells. If you read the posts there are loads of people who have had no wins for months. If you enjoy entering for the fun of it then keep on going or try having a break for a few months. Either way good luck, hope a win comes soon.
Alice came to a fork in the road. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

    spot on

then again a few of the people who do enter dont work anyway so it's a different routine from filling out job apps - or are 'stay at home mums' (means coffee mornings with mates, yeah i know thats true)

(wonder how many that offends, and who cares)

Sax11 I am one of those stay at home mums, no time for coffee mornings, my youngest just started high school. I bought myself a doggy started comping a year ago and spend the rest of the time visting my sick old mum and ebaying. It still is nice to win now and again and I will keep at it! I am sure the biggie win is round the corner!!:D

This year hasn't been as good for wins as last year. :(

    Reasons as mentioned above...

Hope you get a nice win soon. :)
