I cant win a thing lately!!

Sax11 my doggy makes me feel guilty and looks up with her sad eyes and with her pleading look "take me out mummy" so I have to take her walkies for 1 hour a day. The rest of the time I clean up after my good for nothing lazy sons, my daughter thinks shes a diva and leaves a trail of mess where ever she goes. My husband is a builder and quite happy to support me in return for dinner on the table pronto, clothes washed and other wifey things. I visit my mother, shop, ebay, and browse on the internet if I have any spare time and comp for about a hour to two hours per day mostly in the evenings. I was just saying I have had zero wins in the past 6 weeks which has never happend before and I was wondering why and what would other compers advise. If I dont win its not the end of the world, I am sure hubby can buy me what I need as long as I behave myself!

Oh dear what's going on here then?

I haven't won anything since Feb even though I spend a great deal of my day entering numerous competitions, I will carry on entering because if you don't enter you don't even get the chance to win.

I've won 58 things since January, for which I'm incredibly grateful...

When (not if) I have a dry spell, I'll do what I always do... keep on entering and forgetting. That's by far the best way to be. It's a hobby, not a chore...

It's comping that's the hobby, not the winning...

I've never won anything in competitions lottery yes (small amounts don't get excited!) raffles yes but online or other competitions nothing.

How often do you enter?

My 58 wins this year come from an average 300 comp entries a day.

I only enter things that are interesting or wanted done a few today but not doing probably 300 a year let alone a day

I only enter what I want to as well, Marvin, and I ad a dry spell from the end of November until last month when I won an ipad and then a £250 voucher for Tokyo Laundry (both courtesy of Laks). I was just on the point of saying enough when I won these so keep entering and the wins will come.

I do between 200 and 250 per week and have had quite a few wins, in april i won a crate of wine and may a i pod touch plus lots of other bits like restaurant gift cards, fit flops, a glass cake stand. I am just having a dry period hopefully my luck will change soon!

Last year I won quite a few things (averaging 3-4 wins a month), this year has been pitiful in comparison but I'm plodding away with the mantra...gotta be in it to win it.

If I win, great...if not then its not something I had in the first place so haven't lost anything.

Just hoping the comping fairy drops a family holiday to Florida my way though:D
