Cheque scanning
I currently pay in cheques via Halifax's app. Was using Barclays, but sometimes it would take three or more scans before cheque was accepted. I assume Halifax has a better scanning engine, as I use the same device for each account/app. Any other banks offer this service? I've just applied for the Lloyds £125 offer, so…

Natwest account switch - stay clear!
Stay clear of these, even though there is the £125 switching reward. By far the worse experience ever had with a bank, and worst account set up process ever. In short, never get any communications on what your customer number or account number is - no email, letter, text - anything. You need these to logon for id, so you…

H2B ISA and LISA interest question
I have a LISA that has already been maxed at the £4000 for this year. If I open a H2B isa too, I know I will not be entitled to the bonus as I already get this on my LISA but can I still benefit from interest rate of 2.5% for example or will it be set at 0% because I already have a LISA? thanks

Where is the money just now?
My husband transfers a large proportion of his monthly wage to my account. I pay the large bills from this. The money is transferred to mine on the 12th of the month and from mine to bills on the 13th. The 12th this month is on a Saturday. Money has left my husband's bank account, therefore is not available in his. But has…

A major bank has been refusing to let me withdraw £10k of family savings for over one month
I have approximately £10,000 of savings in an account with a major UK bank. The savings come from my (public sector) salary, paid in over the last ten years. One month ago I was locked out of the account and was told it was "under review" and that no further information would be given. I contacted the Financial Ombudsman…

Can I not activate a card I don't intend to use?
Tesco have sent me a new debit card after my previous one reached expiration date. I haven't used the previous card in a few years although I did initially. I don't intend to use the new card. If I don't activate will Tesco think the card may have been lost and send a new one? Is it OK not to activate cards that will not…

Halifax Online Complaints
I've been reasonably happy with my Halifax account, although the reduction in the Rewards payment was a bit disappointing. The "new" paying a cheque in online is useful and seems to be better than Barclays offering. Any others that offer this now? My main gripe is with Halifax's online complaints. You fill in the details…

Hopefully someone has already successfully done this. Thanks in advance Degsy

Paypal Direct Debit Dispute
Hi, I purchased an item for £213 using Paypal friends & family (stupid I know) that was never delivered. I put in a claim to Paypal who declined it. The next step was to raise a Visa dispute with my bank as my debit card is linked to my Paypal account. However, as Paypal uses Direct debit to debit my account the bank says…
